As part of his presidency, Dixon is involving the group in additional community efforts, including offering support to J.T. McWilliams Elementary School. This holiday season, the technology group is helping the local school by collecting sweatshirts for all 800 students. “AITP members and IT Strategies International have pledged to donate sweatshirts or funds to purchase clothing in an attempt to help out at-risk students and children from homes with limited resources,” Dixon said. AITP was founded in the 1950s by a group of technical professionals to provide a users group as a resource in the fast growing information technology profession. The organization provides information technology education and forums for networking with experienced information technology professionals.
